Details: Jen and Sheila met the summer before 6th grade in 1989 at cheerleading camp. The friendship evolved from there. They became inseparable and later discovered they had the same dream. By their senior year of high school they began looking at cosmetology schools together, but after graduation they ended up choosing different locations.
After a couple of years, both now graduated and working back in the area, one phone call was all it took to be reunited. They worked at different salons for a couple of years, but stayed very close and continued to educate each other outside of their respected salons.
An opportunity knocked for them to start working side by side at a salon together. They were only there at that location for two years when the dream of Salon Rootz finally became a reality. Jen and Sheila sat down together one night and put all their thoughts on paper. Within three months those thoughts became Salon Rootz.
