Details: To the wonderful clientele and friends of The Square Nail Studio, I am writing to you today to extend my thanks and gratitude for your many years of continued support. After reaching nearly the decade point at The Square Nail Studio, I am saddened to inform you that our lease will not be renewed. The owners of our building are excited to be developing the studio space along with an adjoining space into a natural food bar/cafe. Although moving on from the studio will come with mixed blessings I want to let my extended community of friends and patrons know what an outstanding decade I have spent being your favorite nail studio. Not a day has past at my shop where I have not smiled and delighted in the fact that every client that walked through my door was exactly the person I needed to see. Each of you with your unique stories, careers, studies, adventures, partnerships and charm has meant more to me than any money earned, and yet the fact that I was able to, a gift. Then of course there are all of you, who with only the hope of fetching a reasonable manicure and pedicure endured all of my slightly southern drawled chatter and drama. Thank you. Due to the unique size and wonderful location, the studio falls into a category of irreplaceable, as it will in my heart. For such reasons, I will not seek to reopen it. As I face the end of the studio I am laying new roots by combining two things I am both good at and passionate about, writing and nails. Inside of the thought that I am somehow losing my community, by losing my studio, I decided to start a blog with the hope of maintaining my connection to all of you and promoting my philosophy of natural chemical free nail care. With that said I would like to tell each of you, if I have not already, how truly humbled I feel to have known and been able to take part in your lives over the last decade. In each hour I spent with you, I uncovered a thousand nuances of humanity. Through each of you I have learned about, and feel as though I have walked through the careers, cultures and families of many. I have such a broader sense of being for that blessing. I do find it hard to walk away, but only because of you. Thank you for the many years and many smiles.
